Freewill

In the movie lion king, Simba the lion cub was told lies by his uncle and was chased away from hic clan. He grew up with friends who taught him how to survive in life. But one day he had to make a choice to go back to his cln or go on with his life. He decided to go back and lead them to prosperity.

Living your life is full of choices. Everyday you have to make a decision. Your freewill is a gift, use it wisely. Choose the choice God would be delighted and work on it.

"for I command you today to love the Lord your God, to walk in his ways and to keep his commans, decrees and laws; the you will live and increase, and the Lord your God will bless you in the land you are entering to possess. But if your heart turns away and you are not obidient, and if you are drawn away to bow down to other gods and worship them, I declare to you this day that you will certainly be destroyed. You will not live long in the land you are crossing the Jordan to enter and possess." Deuteronomy 30:15-20
Have a blessed life

Project Nehemiah

I was inspired by the story of Bread of Life - Rizal, their sruggle and determination to stand after typhoon Ondoy devastated their community. When the door closes God will open the windows. Robinsons Mall offered them to house their activities on the former Philam Life Office thus gives them a better and more accesible place to worship.

This reminds me to give time to the project we started 2009 - helping students by providing basic school supplies. The focal point will be improving the life of every family by starting to support kids fulfill their dreams.
I came from a family of teachers so I decided to start from there. I know that this project is not easy, same as the situation of the apostles back when they are spreading the word of God but I must stood to this endeavor. I know from within that this is my share in promoting God's goodness to mankind. I decided to call it Banghal Aralin; Project Nehemiah. Banghay Aralin is the tagalog of Lesson Plan. Like teachers we plan how they will attain their dreams and education is the very first step we need to plan carefully.
Anyone who is interested to part of this project, please post your comment and i'll get in touch we you. We are in need of school books, school supplies, bags, uniforms, anything that a normal student would need....Hope someone got the chance to read this post and help us...thanks!

Trust and Rely on Him

There are times when we feel so helpless, times when we are hurt, times when we don't know what to do and times when no one understands us. During this trying times we run to God for solace and peace of mind.
Trials are there to remind us that God is there waiting. It is in His Kingdom where we could rest from carrying the heavy load. God will stood us till the end even though we regret about Him often. It only takes a sincere repentance and acceptance. Just take a time of silence and be with God and your burden will be lighten no matter how heavy it is.
"Blessed is the man who perseveres under trial, because, when he has stood the test, he will receive the crown of life that God has promised to those who love him" James 1:12-18

Trials and Temptations

Once there is a story about a man who carries his cross on the way to heaven. The cross was so heavy that the man decided to cut it short. After a while he was tired and weary and again cut the cross. He finally came to a rift since he cut his cross short he cannot use it to be his bridge. There is nothing he can use to cross the rift.
Sometimes we are tested by the cross we carry along our journey and it is within our faith how we are carrying it. Lord, I know I complain a lot about so many things, please let me have the patience to deal with all of this. Let my faith be stronger not to give up on any trials. May you give me wisom so I may be guided by your words.

"If any of you lacks wisdom, he should ask God, who gives generously to all without finding fault, and it will be given to him. But when he asks, he must believe and not doubt, because he who doubts is like a wave of the sea, blown and tossed by the wind." James 1:11 (NIV)

My Journey of Faith

After a long search, I finally settled with a guy who has nothing to be proud of but having a close relationship with God. I thought I have the same level of faith as he is but as time passed by I know that I need more to catch up.
I was born and baptist as a Roman Catholic, entered in a Catholic school run by Nuns, attended Sunday masses and all the days of obligation but still feeling weak and vulnarable to temptations. Without saying a word my better half introduce to his faith. At first, I have to be honest that I am just pretending, but you cannot pretend when the Holy Spirit do his share to enlighten you. I started analyzing myself, weighing what matters to me most, soul searching and then I found my happiness.
I am enjoying what I have right now, but I know I need some catching up to do. I need to understand better in order for me to accept and be an inspiration to others. This is the hardest step and I cannot do it overnight. It takes a process. It takes acceptance. It takes a fully renowned me.
Come and join me to continue my journey. Let this be an inspiration. Let us not compromise the ultimate sacrifice Jesus has given in the cross for our salvation. Let this lead me to making God the center of everything.
